The Fiber Microtome is an excellent device that can produce thin cross sections of fibers to help in the further microscopic examinations of the fiber. It can sample all kinds of fibers and cross sections of varying thickness from 200 µm. This device aids in the observation of their tissue structure under magnifying lenses for the purpose of identification. The device is suitable examining fiber of any diameter but in case of dyed, bleached or finished fibers, the cross-sectional area may vary from those fibers that do not undergo such treatments.
